I own a KIN phone (KIN 2 to be specific), and it is far better than numerous other phones I have owned and out there in the market.

It comes with high resolution 8MP camera with flash. I love taking videos and pictures using this phone, which also gets backed up automatically on KIN STUDIO.

    Social Network Integration:
I’m an avid Facebook user, and the integration to FB, Twitter and other Social Networking sites has been awesome. In a click of a button, I can take a high-resolution Picture or video and can share it with the whole world (Facebook, Myspace or emails).

    KIN Studio:
This is such an innovative, cool and unique concept. All my data on the phone (High Res Pictures, videos, contacts, messages (SMS’s, call history) etc) gets backed up on KIN Studio website and I don’t need a cable to transfer data from my phone anymore. I don’t need to worry about losing my device anymore, as the data on my phone gets backed up real time. Fantastic concept and Microsoft has nailed this down really well!

    KIN SPOT:,
This is again a cool concept, where you can drag-drop content, friends etc and share things with that close circle of friends.

The email integration is awesome too, and I do access my Yahoo/Gmail through this phone and I hardly access mails through a PC.

Eventhough this phone doesn’t come with numerous features, they have nailed down really well on whatever they offered. I also heard that Microsoft was planning to do more over the air updates with other key features that are missing in the version 1. I hope they don’t cancel those updates.

I really don’t understand the reason behind killing this phone, especially within a month from it’s launch.

The one and the only negative I could see is the Verizon’s data plan pricing (29$ a month is a bit way too expensive). I’m sure these phones will sell really well, if the data plan pricing was $10 to $15 a month.

I really hate to see KIN go!

I know a thing or two about short lived careers and wasted talent. So long Kin. I’ll miss you very much. I’ll get out of here in 5 to 10 depending on good behavior. Maybe you, me, and my good friend Mikey V. could start a tribute band to one hit wonders.

It’s like a crazy dream. They develop a product and discontinue it before most people ever heard of it?

Kin would have been a good start for a broader market – make it a phone for everybody. I have heard such good things about Zune interfaces. I wish it would supplant that Apple junk.

There’s a chasm here-between my genius and Public Demand. If we could force people to use KINS by law, it would be very popular!

Wow, whatever site this was hosted on that kicked you out probably has to be run by some not so smart people. Sure this was a satire, but it got them great exposure. Now it just exposed them as being a bunch of jerks.

Keep up the great work memorializing the Kin!

develop, produce and launch the KIN socialphones, surely has costed over $100M to Microsoft, so, “KILL KIN” hasn’t been a smart idea, then, since I’ve some good ideas to revive KIN and make it a success (also to avoid the same end for WM7) I can give these ideas to Microsoft (that could be applied also to WM7) if it become a Sponsor of my

  13. Microsoft tries to buy your love. Fails. Shuts it down. Thinks up something equally lame. Tries again. Fails again. Repeat.
